My #ForeverGrateful series also includes the man who was behind my recent successes, my thesis mentor, Dr. Ace C. Lagman.
Sir Ace and I go way back 2010 back when he was my college mentor, we met again when I took the graduate program back in 2013, he was my professor and then, my thesis mentor once more for MIT Project 1 and 2.
We were never the ideal mentor and mentee tandem, I always had my fair share of going by his will and going through a lot of misunderstandings, but I knew he just wanted to see the best in me. I am grateful that he did allowed me to do my thing, learn from my mistakes and be better in the process.
He was never the perfect mentor, he had a lot of commitments which included then his Doctoral Degree but he made sure he was just one call away. He was not sure if he would let me go and defend, but he knew I would be able to prove my worth, thus, the ability to stand up and pass the defense.
I share whatever I had right now to the man who never gave up on what I believe in, with that, I am forever grateful.
The best part of my life now is that we are friends, we knew we would end up trusting each other whatever happens.
P.S. Wala na ako balak mag-DIT, but if I venture into something like "Research", I know I would be successful because I was guided by the best.
